Born in Glasgow, Charles Rennie Mackintosh (7 June 1868 – 10 December 1928) was a Scottish architect, designer, water colourist and artist, with his work as popular as ever today.

About The Hill House

Situated in Helensburgh, on a hill overlooking the River Clyde, The Hill House offers visitors the chance to experience Charles Rennie Mackintosh's finest domestic creation with architecture and design boasting a mix of Art Nouveau, Scottish Baronial and Japonisme inspiration. Guests can also explore the stunning gardens restored in line with the early designs, using plants that would have been available at the time.
